A platform for discovering talent and companies in the gaming industry for hiring. I joined as an engineer and became the team's Elasticsearch specialist when problems with the search infrastructure surfaced — the only engineer with prior experience in it.

Responsibilities

• Owned the MongoDB-to-Elasticsearch sync for most of my time on the project: configured the connectivity and built the change-event triggers (Monstache) that automatically updated and removed Elasticsearch records as the underlying MongoDB data changed — keeping search consistent with the database.
• Delivered fullstack features across the ReactJS frontend and NodeJS backend — list views with CRUD, and fixes on both sides — alongside the search work.
